welcome
to Miles' Page
Greetings, and Welcome to my page.
My name is GinaGardens Oh Mi Little Admiral, Miles to my friends and family. I am a bi black Shetland Sheepdog. I live at the Healy House with Jeanette and Brian Healy. I was born on December 1st, 2007 at GinaGardens Kennel, in Centerreach, Long Island, NY. I am fully registered with the American Kennel Club. Some day I hope to add Confirmation Titles, Obedience Titles, Agility Titles and Herding Titles to my name.
I am a member of Pawscouts USA, which is a home training group that is similar to the Boys Scouts or the Girl Scouts. Like the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts, I earn badges, only my badges are for each lesson I learn through the program. Jeanette Healy is my Paw Leader and trainer. You can find all the various pawscout badges on the website. I can't wait to earn as many as I can.
I like herding bees, although they are tough to herd, because they are so tiny and sting me when I get too close.
I like traveling with Jeanette as she takes me with her when she goes wandering. Some of the places I have visited so far are PetSmart, Pet Co, Gander Mountain Sporting Goods, Magical Cupboard, Home Depot, Lowes, B & G Pet supply Wal-Mart, Target and Borders Bookstore. You never know where we might show up next.
I am taking show handling and obedience lessons at Caninepawzability. Jeanette hopes that I can be a Therapy Dog someday. I just recently passed my Canine Good Citizen Test. My full name now is Ginagardens Oh Mi Little Admiral, CGC. I am also going to be adding more patches to my pawscout scarf in the near future. I can't wait.
I am also embarking on a new event. Jeanette and I are going to explore the world of Rally events. This is going to be fun. I am happy to say that I've done my first and second rally events. Jeanette and I went to the Newton Kennel Club show in Augusta, NJ. I didn't do well on my first rally, but I did get a qualifying score on my second rally. This means I have the first leg towards a Rally title. I am happy to announce that I now have Rally Novice at the end of my name! I got my last two qualifying scores at the Central New York Shetland Sheepdog Show in 2008. For 2009, I managed to get my second Rally title. I have RA, which stands for Rally Advance at the end of my name. You can see all of my health and title certificates over at my health files gallery.
At the Healy House I have made a lot of friends from the Eclipsos Armoury crew. And I can't wait to meet all of the Armoury Crew some day. On Friday nights, I get to sit on Brian's lap as some of the Armoury crew gather to take part in their weekly table top dungeons and dragons game. It's lots of fun to watch the dice roll on the table. I even get to play with Jeanette's plush dice set.
For those interested in my name, Jeanette and Brian are avid readers, and one of their favorite series is the Vorkosigan Saga, a series of Space Opera Books written by Lois McMaster Bujold. The main character through the series is named Miles Vorkosigan, and at one point he is an Admiral of a space fleet that he created. So when Jeanette decided to name me, she decided that I had to be named for him. I like my name, so I am not arguing.
This is Rick and I.

And this is Toby curled up in my puppy bed.
Rick and Toby have moved to their own forever home, but I do get to see Rick every once in a while. I will miss them.
And here is a picture of me and Taura when she first arrived at the Healy House.
In December of 2008, I was bred to Daisy, Calcurt Silver Promise and on February 10th, 2009 she gave birth to our first litter of puppies, one boy and four girls. One of those girls is now living here at the Healy House. Her name is Amelia, Darkmoon Miss Peabody.
Here is a picture of me with my daughter, Amelia.
This is Me, with my daughter Amelia and her buddy Barry. Jeanette decided to get a picture of the three of us in the wagon over at Memory Lane, an ice cream stand near our home.
I have a blog at Live Journal called Little_Admiral and I share the Darkmoonshelties Myspace page with Taura and my daughter Amelia, where you can find out about our various travels and adventures.
This is me and my page, come back as it's updated with all the things that I get to do with Jeanette, Brian and everyone at the Healy House.
